In this series of paintings, Kamiya used a
brush which is the same size as a side of the canvas, and
moved it over the surface. The soft color-gradated works are
painted one by one. He said that he reduced every aspect of
the painting to seek what makes a "painting.."The
minimalistic color surface shows the tension of one stroke
and gradation of perfect colors, and takes viewers away to
somewhere between two somethings. This series shows the foundation
of Kamiya's paintings. One favorite painting by itself or
several paintings would look great.
