21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa Opened on October 9, 2004

21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa opened in Kanazawa City in Ishikawa Prefecture. New cultural movement begins from the museum built in the old city of traditional crafts encountering contemporary art. Circular in form, the beautiful glass building designed by architect SANAA won the Golden Lion in the International Architecture Exhibition, la Biennale di Venezia.
Studio IS coordinates three artists in the inaugural exhibition: Michael Lin, Ernesto Neto, and Yang Fudong. Masakatsu Takagi performed a live session on October 9th and 10th at the museum.
