April 22, 2004 Application for the 27th New Cosmos of Photography Accepted Guest Judge: Kevin Westenberg Begun in 1991, New Cosmos of Photography is an open competition for young photographers. The purpose of the project is to discover, nurture, and support new photographers who are exploring new visual expressions. The 27th New Cosmos of Photography applications are being accepted from Thursday, April 14 to Friday, June 4th 2004. The committee members consist of the regular judges: Nobuyoshi Araki, photographer; Koutarou Iizawa, photo critic; Tadao Nanjyo, Vice Director of Mori Art Museum; and Daido Moriyama, photographer. This yearﾕs guest photographer is Kevin Westenberg. Kevin captures world-class musicians and actors in a provoking style. A workshop given by Kevin is being planned for him to communicate with young Japanese photographers.
